Mintages for Flying Eagle Cents

The Flying Eagle Cent was only produced for circulation for two years before it was replaced by the following Indian Head design. In addition to the two circulation issues, a pattern was produced which is generally collected as a regular issue.
The mintages for the circulating coins were relatively high, resulting in abundant quantities available for collectors. The pattern piece had just a few thousand produced, creating a rarity.
